Getting started

Open app.gamenook.ai in any modern browser. You can look around and read every game’s rules without an account. To start your own tables, sign in with Apple, Google or a link we email you.

Starting a table

  1. Pick a game, then choose the number of seats and the house rules you like.
  2. Choose Real time (a timer on every move) or Turn based (a set number of hours per turn).
  3. Fill seats with friends, bots, or leave them open for anyone with the link.
  4. When every seat is filled and everyone is ready, the host starts the game.

Inviting people

Every table with an open seat has an invite link. The host copies it from the lobby and sends it however they like; only the host sees it. Whoever opens it sees the game and the open seats, and can join as a guest with just a display name, or sign in first.

The link doesn’t work

  • The game may already have started, or every seat may be taken. Ask the host for a new table.
  • Invite links expire after 7 days. The host can make a fresh one from the lobby.

Bots

Any empty seat can take a bot at easy, normal or hard. In a real-time game, if a player runs out of time a bot makes that move for them; after three timeouts in a game the bot takes the seat. In a turn-based game the host chooses whether a bot plays a late turn or the player forfeits.

Playing several tables

Your tables lists every table you sit at, live and turn based, with the ones waiting on you first. Open any of them to play; nothing is lost when you switch.

Deleting your account

In the web app open Profile, choose Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm; you may be asked to sign in again first. Sign-in stops straight away and your data is removed in the background. If you can’t sign in, email contact@gamenook.ai from the address on your account. The privacy policy says what is kept briefly afterwards.
